Job Description
Coperion is now hiring aFitter Welderto join our team in Sabetha KS.
Fitter / Welder is responsible for constructing and assembling mechanical systems.
Work Youll Do:
Construct structural components based on blueprints
Fits structural components together to create finished systems
Lays out fits and welds fabricated cast and forged components to assemble structural forms for example machinery frames pressure vessels and building and bridge parts according to blueprints and knowledge of fitting welding and metallurgy.
Selects equipment and plans layout assembly and welding applying knowledge of geometry physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage and welding techniques.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Must be at least 18 years old
Mechanically inclined
Willingness to learn new equipment and processes
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Robotics or Cobot Arms is highly preferred
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints
Welding experience
Dependable and reliable
