Job Description

Summary

Catholic Charities of Acadiana is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Case Manager Supervisor to oversee the operations of our Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) program. This leadership role ensures staff implements Housing First and Harm Reduction principles while providing critical support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Key Responsibilities

  • Program Supervision
    • Provide problemresolution support to staff.
    • Approve admissions and verify eligibility for PSH participants.
    • Maintain comprehensive participant records and address client concerns.
    • Advocate for participants and provide necessary referrals and crisis interventions.
    • Maintain SSI/SSDI Outreach Access and Recovery (SOAR) certification.
    • Manage a caseload of up to 10 clients.
  • Housing Placement
    • Assist with housing and rehousing searches placement and leasing guidance.
    • Negotiate with landlords and provide support for client transitions.
  • Operational Leadership
    • Recruit train and evaluate PSH staff based on core values.
    • Plan staff development training and ensure timely report submissions.
    • Oversee supply orders and approve purchase requests.
    • Lead and manage the team using the EOS process with regular meetings.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Participate in mandatory training and adhere to directives from the Division Director.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Psychology Social Work or a related field (MSW preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 2 years as a mental health professional.
    • Proven experience with housing programs and homelessness services.
    • Strong problem resolution and deescalation skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication and computer skills.
  • Requirements:
    • Valid Louisiana drivers license and insured vehicle for client transport.

Job Specifications

  • Medium: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. 100% of the time.
