Salary Range: $50 per contract hour

Brief Description of Duties

Responsibilities include teaching required multimedia journalism courses performing service duties advancing nonscholarly research and maintaining professional productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teaching up to three (3) courses in online or multimedia journalism and/or broadcast journalism
  • Curriculum development emphasizing crossdiscipline integration of new media technologies and multiplatform journalism.
  • Student advising
  • Outcome assessments
  • Service to the program department college university and community
  • Promotion of the program for recruitment.


Minimum Job Requirement

  • Applicants should have at a minimum a masters degree coupled with significant professional experience.
  • Extensive experience in news writing copy editing with blogging and social media is essential.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency of professional remote video production techniques is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate would be knowledgeable in the integration of theory and practice in journalism education.
