Job Description
Find your purpose working as a Behavioral Health Technician with CentraCare at Claras House! In this role you will work directly with patients ranging in age from 318 years old to gain strength selfworth healing and hope! Our Behavioral Health Technicians are involved in patient care activities that include hygiene activity nutrition therapeutic interactions and behavioral interventions patient safety rounds and vital signs.
Schedule
- Fulltime Claras House
- 6480 hours every two weeks 7:30 am 4:00 pm
- No weekends or major holidays!
Pay and Benefits
- Starting pay begins at $18.11 per hour and increases with experience
- Pay range: $17.28 $25.89 per hour

Qualifications
- High School Diploma GED or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider card
- NonViolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training initial and ongoing training provided
- Must be able to effectively handle escalating behavior and utilize physical safety holds with aggressive patients
- A valid Minnesota drivers license and a driving record in good standing may be required
- Due to licensure requirements pertaining to childrens residential facilities staff who supervise residents at Claras House must be at least 21 years old
- Staff must be free of substance use problems for at least one year immediately preceding hire and must sign a statement attesting to that fact
- Two years of college with courses in psychology sociology and/or social work preferred
- Six months experience in nursing assistant or similar role preferred
To be eligible for the hiring bonus you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full or part time benefited position. Previous employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire. CentraCare pay promotions to include but not limited to hiring bonuses may be discontinued at any time due to business needs.
