As a PBE (Paint Body Equipment) Sales Representative for Mike & Jerrys Paint and Supply you will be responsible for targeting soliciting and securing new business maintaining and growing accounts learning and understanding product lines and preparing/creating sales related documentation and reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities
New Business Acquisition
- Be aware of all prospective winning accounts in the assigned territory or Region.
- Be visible in the territory and industry
- Continually develop and maintain collision center and industry data
- Build and grow relationships and referrals with Collision Center owners and Dealer principals GMs and Service Directors (i.e. decisionmakers)
- Be knowledgeable of the elements supporting the Mike & Jerrys brand promise and other valueadded programs available through Client Business Support
- Sell the Mike & Jerrys Brand Promise and its elements based on the principles taught by Mike & Jerrys
- Develop relationships with prospective accounts and work them through the Mike & Jerrys Selling Cycle until closed or we are secure in 2nd position
- Proactively provide oral and written reports of actions and accomplishments as requested
- Develop business proposals to meet acknowledged customer needs and follow the approved Mike & Jerrys contractual process prior to making a competitive offer.
- Maintain active relationships with our manufacturer partners to help in securing new business for Mike & Jerrys.
High Level Business Support
- Provide high level business support for assigned winning accounts and Regional MSOs.
- Business Process Support
- KPIs and composite KPIs for MSOs
- Access Mike & Jerrys and manufacturer resources as needed to meet appropriate customer business needs
- Assist the renewal process of larger accounts when appropriate
Critical Success Factors
- New Winning business acquired
- Able to effectively sell the Mike & Jerrys Brand Promise
- Maintains a strong pipeline of winning prospects in various stages of the selling process or we are in a strong second position
- Follows the Mike & Jerrys selling process to effectively sell our Value Proposition
Qualifications and Skills
- Selfmotivated and goal oriented.
- Presents themselves professionally and is able to command the interest and attention of business decisionmakers in larger collision centers dealerships and MSOs
- Proficient with MS Office products needed to prepare a business proposal or analysis independently
- Able to acquire Winning new business with limited or no assistance
- Has or will obtain specific selling training such as Mike & Jerrys Consultative Selling.
- Fully understands our Brand Promise and how to sell it
- Able to provide and maintain high level business support of major accounts on an ongoing basis. Willing to seek help when needed.
- Can effectively negotiate an agreement
