Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Summer Landscape Technician
(3 positions available)
Reports to: Landscape Supervisor
Job Summary: This position works closely with the Landscape Supervisor to maintain El Pomar Foundation landscapes and properties to include Penrose House 10 Lake Executive Offices St. Judes Shrine Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun and the Penrose Heritage Museum
Job Classification: Seasonal nonexempt/Fulltime 40 hours per week (approximately 12 weeks)
Start/End Date: May 19 2025 through August 15 2025 (preferred but negotiable)
Hourly Rate: $16.00 per hour
Benefits: Paid health and wellness (16.0 hours) and holiday time
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure mowing trimming and edging of all turf is maintained
- Ensure all floral containers are properly watered on a consistent schedule
- Ensure all water features are kept clean
- Assist in the care of annuals perennials shrubs and small trees
- Ensure all sidewalks patios and parking areas are clear of snow ice trash and yard debris
- Ensure all patio furniture and outdoor trash receptacles are clean
- Assist with any needs El Pomar Foundation deems necessary
Secondary Duties:
- Assist in routine maintenance as necessary
Machinery used:
- Power operated lawn equipment
- Pressure washer
- Golf cart

- Ability to multitask and problem solve under sometimes short or conflicting deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as a contributing member of a team

- Develop knowledge of El Pomar Foundation and Penrose House history
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding position
- Hiring subject to employment prescreening (background check)
- Must be at least 16 years or older
- Must be able to travel to and from work
