The Pennsylvania Parole Board is seeking a compassionate and detailoriented Victim Assistance Coordinator to join our team in the Office of Victim Advocate (OVA). In this role you will help us continue to provide victim services and restorative justice programs that promote pathways to hope resilience and healing. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Victim Assistance Coordinator you will perform numerous advocacy functions in support of the OVA mission. This will include assisting crime victims to provide comments at board hearings providing accompaniment throughout the criminal justice process and providing outreach information to crime survivors and local community service providers. You will also provide referrals to government nonprofit and private organizations that provide counseling social services and other support services to victims of crime. In this position you will advise and assist victims on their role in the inmate release process and advise them of their rights. You can expect to maintain communication with victim service agencies throughout the Commonwealth and collaborate with other service providers to support the rights and needs of crime survivors.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.
- You will be required to complete a training process that will take place at 1101 South Front Street Suite 5200 Harrisburg PA.
- Telework:You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework) fulltime 5 days per week after you successfully complete the training process in Harrisburg PA. In order to telework you must have a securely configured highspeed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework you will have the option to report to the Philadelphia Office of Victim Advocate in Philadelphia PA.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional social service counseling or crisis intervention experience involving crime victim services one of which must include direct services to crime victims and a bachelors degree in sociology counseling psychology or a related area; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes two years of professional social service counseling or crisis intervention experience involving crime victim services one of which must include direct services to crime victims.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be willing and able to work in Philadelphia County.
- You must have two (2) or more years of social service counseling or crisis intervention experience.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
