The Pennsylvania Parole Board is seeking a compassionate and detailoriented Victim Assistance Coordinator to join our team in the Office of Victim Advocate (OVA). In this role you will help us continue to provide victim services and restorative justice programs that promote pathways to hope resilience and healing. As a Victim Assistance Coordinator you will perform numerous advocacy functions in support of the OVA mission. This will include assisting crime victims to provide comments at board hearings providing accompaniment throughout the criminal justice process and providing outreach information to crime survivors and local community service providers. You will also provide referrals to government nonprofit and private organizations that provide counseling social services and other support services to victims of crime. In this position you will advise and assist victims on their role in the inmate release process and advise them of their rights. You can expect to maintain communication with victim service agencies throughout the Commonwealth and collaborate with other service providers to support the rights and needs of crime survivors.
