Job Description

The Hun School of Princeton seeks a dynamic and creative Upper School Computer Science & Engineering Teacher for a position beginning in August 2025.

Computer Science & Engineering classrooms at The Hun School are at the epicenter of creativity collaboration and innovation. Courses taught in this department include Introduction to Coding to AP Computer Science Robotics and Engineering Design and cuttingedge electives such as Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will have experience in one of these areas and familiarity with Javascript Java Python Arduino and/or Tetrix Robotics. The Hun Schools commitment to experiential learning is evident in each Computer Science and Engineering class we offer. This new position requires an appreciation for the intricate role technology and innovation have in our world and the desire to share that excitement with our students.


Responsibilities:

  • Four (4) sections of Computer Science and Engineering classes per trimester;

Qualifications:

  • A bachelors degree; advanced degree preferred;
  • Three years of fulltime teaching experience is preferred but other relevant experience will certainly be considered;
  • Knowledge of K12 Computer Science standards and frameworks;
  • Experience with Project Based Learning;
  • Familiarity with Javascript Java Python Arduino and/or Tetrix Robotics;
  • Ability and versatility to teach a range of courses in the discipline;
  • A love for working with young people;
  • A commitment to a diverse and inclusive community;
  • A passion for teaching in an innovative experiential and studentcentered environment;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with students parents faculty and staff;
  • Personal qualities including resilience approachability and kindness;
  • Excellent technology skills and experience integrating technology into the curriculum;
  • A desire to contribute to school life outside of the classroom on a lively boarding school campus.
