Arc of Onondaga is Looking For YOU!
Our mentors have the privilege of providing 1:1 person centered services to children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities as they attend local camps. In this position you will be responsible for providing handson assistance instruction and guidance while supporting children with being able to participate within group recreational settings. This position may be ideal to those that typically may have school breaks and/or summers off (one who works within school system and/or college student).
Position Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
A passion for working with and creating positive impactful relationships in the lives of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Must exhibit a positive approach that provides encouragement mentoring and instruction resulting in effectively achieving and maintaining independence and integration within group recreational settings.
