Job Description
Summary:
An established Commercial HVAC Service Company is looking to hire a Purchasing Manager out of their headquarters in Fort Lauderdale. The company provides HVAC Services throughout Florida and Georgia and the role is primarily responsible for overseeing purchasing operations throughout the company. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in purchasing within the construction and/or HVAC industry along with demonstrated abilities in supplier negotiations managing inventory levels and coordinating project logistics.
Responsibilities:
* Analyze current buying procedures to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and recommend process enhancements.
* Identify assess and maintain partnerships with suppliers vendors and subcontracting partners.
* Secure favorable pricing delivery timelines and terms through strategic negotiation to support cost efficiency and ontime project delivery.
* Coordinate closely with project leads site supervisors and warehouse teams to anticipate material requirements and ensure consistent supply.
* Oversee outstanding purchase orders across the organization helping ensure prompt followup and timely closure.
* Collaborate with departments to track inventory usage and maintain optimal stock levels avoiding excess or insufficient supply.
* Audit purchase agreements and contracts to ensure alignment with internal standards and policy requirements.
* Compile and analyze procurement performance indicators such as savings achieved turnaround times and vendor reliability.
* Uphold adherence to corporate procurement guidelines and safety standards.
* Drive ongoing improvements in purchasing workflows and procurement system efficiency.
Requirements:
* Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or related field.
* 5 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
* Previous experience in the mechanical service industry is a plus.
* Experience with Vista Viewpoint is a plus but not required.
