Job Description

Join the team at Hersheypark Camping Resort a campground located a few miles down the road from Hersheypark amusement park that features log and deluxe cabins tent sites and partial and fullhookup sites.

This position is responsible for the cleaning of all areas of the Hersheypark Camping Resort primarily focusing on bathhouses cabins and interior/exterior public spaces. Additionally responsibilities may include picking up trash cleaning fire pits and other miscellaneous tasks.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

  • Detailed cleaning of bathhouses cabins and interior/exterior public spaces*

  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and chemicals

  • Picking up trash around cabins and sites

  • Cleaning fire pits

  • Doing dishes and laundry

  • Provide guest site escort as needed by front desk team

  • Miscellaneous tasks such as power washing and line painting etc.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older on the date of applying

  • Must have a valid drivers license

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have the ability to drive a golf cart and company vehicles as needed

  • General knowledge of housekeeping cleaning protocols and guest relations

  • Must have high attention to detail and be well organized.

  • Must be friendly upbeat work well with other employees and be able to interact with guests in a fastpaced environment

  • Must be able to multitask while prioritizing job tasks and assignments

  • Must have the ability to comprehend instructions (verbal demonstrated and/or written) and retain information

Job Demands:

  • Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions including but not limited to: extreme heat sun exposure cold and inclement weather. Work is almost exclusively outdoors.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays with shifts starting as early as 8:00 AM and ending as late as 4:30 PM.

  • Physical requirements include ability to stand (for up to five hours at a time) walk bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity climb ladders reach above shoulder level and the ability to push pull and lift up to sixty (60) pounds without assistance

  • Employee must provide proper footwear (closed toe shoe)

  • Ability to safely use chemicals in and around the workplace meeting OSHA standards

  • Ability to operate hand held/ small tools power equipment and cleaning equipment

  • Workampers receive an hourly wage plus a Full Hook Up Site w/ 50 AMP electrical service water sewer cable & WiFi and other company perks. A seasonal bonus is also offered if the workamper completes the full term of the contract.
