The Department of Biological Sciences routinely hires adjunct faculty to fill curricular needs on a parttime basis and maintains a pool of candidates for temporary parttime positions as the need arises. This position is continuously open and qualified persons will be selected to teach undergraduate courses as the need arises. Appointments are generally made on a semesterbysemester basis. Positions are renewable contingent upon need and performance.
Responsibilities
Teaching one or more sections of introductory biology lecture and lab courses for majors or nonmajors. Occasionally adjunct instructors may be asked to teach a specialized course in their area of expertise. Adjunct instructors must be available on campus for one office hour per week per course taught.
