Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detailoriented Driver Dispatcher with experience in the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the daily operations of our transportation team ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods while adhering to all safety and compliance standards.
Essential function of the job:
- Monitor driver performance and provide support to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with drivers customers and other stakeholders to address any issues or changes in schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of driver logs vehicle maintenance and compliance documentation.
- Assist in training new drivers in company policies safety procedures and DOT regulations.
- Analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and service quality.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for enhancing operational performance.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role within the transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using dispatch software and other relevant technology.
- Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in transportation or logistics is a plus.
Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds at times.
