Pay Information
This position is in the State of Ohios OCSEA Pay SchedulePay Range 32. Unless required by legislation or union contract starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1 currently $29.23 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.

The Office of Child Support establishes policies and guidelines for the child support program based on federal and state laws. Ohios child support program provides services to help ensure that children receive the financial and medical support they are legally entitled to and deserve. What Youll Do
In this position you will analyze and respond to requests from state and county child support enforcement agencies (CSEA) for financial corrections and/or manual checks. This often requires research of approved policies and workflows to determine if the request was appropriate. Monthly review and reconciliation of financial reports will be completed or as needed. Additional projects may be assigned to research child support payments that have not been remitted or redeemed.
DaytoDay you will:
Research analyze and evaluate state and county CSEA requests for financial corrections and/or manual checks on child support payments to ensure the request is appropriate and reject or approve requests accordingly.
Researching child support payments that were unable to post to a case automatically identify where the payment belongs and post accordingly.
Work special projects addressing issues / concerns with other payments that have not been remitted or cashed or other projects as assigned.
Complete financial corrections and manual checks timely within a defined error rate.
Respond to state and county CSEA inquiries and educate workers regarding proper workflows or processes to be used to achieve the desired result and followup as needed.

Challenges:
You must acquire and maintain an indepth knowledge of child support financials maintained in the child support system known as SETS (Support Enforcement Tracking System). This position will work with both state child support staff as well as the 88 county child support enforcement agencies (CSEA) and other stakeholders. Job duties are time sensitive and must be completed within the appropriate time frame while maintaining a low error rate.
The ideal job candidate will be an independent worker who is able to collect analyze and process data and information quickly and accurately identify unusual problems review complex financial situations andformulate appropriate conclusions. Candidates must also have good verbal and written communication skills.
Schedule:
Standard workdays are Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with the possibility of an approved flex schedule depending on operational need.
Travel:
Travel is as needed. ODJFS may require occasional inperson meetings for training or other operational needs.
