Job Description

The Receptionist based in Denver Colorado pioneered the first iPadbased visitor management system. As the strategic and handson leader of our engineering team youll shape the technical roadmap while driving outcomes through people fostering a culture of collaboration curiosity and continuous improvement. This role blends architectural direction with a passion for mentoring and technical execution. With 5 years of fullstack Rails experience and 2 years leading or managing highperforming teams you bring a proven ability to scale systems deliver secure and maintainable code and inspire others to do their best work. Your deep involvement in both people and product makes you the kind of leader who builds not just great software but great teams. Spend your days:

  • Managing and mentoring a team of developers providing guidance support and fostering skill development
  • Collaborating with product team to estimate scoped work and build out Product Roadmap
  • Tracking and managing team capacity and velocity based on workload
  • Maintaining infrastructure and technical services including billing and IT changes to be SOC2 Compliant
  • Serving as the last line of defense of server availability (outages incidents etc.)
  • Designing developing and maintaining scalable web applications and systems using Rails
  • Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to define project requirements timelines and deliverables
  • Writing reviewing and ensuring code quality focusing on security scalability and maintainability
  • Building and maintaining integrations with thirdparty APIs to enhance product functionality
  • Implementing and promoting modern development practices including pair coding and continuous learning
  • Overseeing performance management setting goals providing feedback and conducting reviews
  • Staying current with industry trends and applying innovative technologies to improve processes and products
  • Leveraging practical AI expertise to identify evaluate and integrate AIdriven features and tools that improve product functionality development workflows and operational efficiency
  • Using the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) framework to guide development and enhance workflows


Show us your:

  • Bachelors degree in business computer science or engineering bonus points for your MBA
  • 5 years of experience as a professional fullstack web developer using Ruby on Rails and at least 2 years in a leadership role with responsibility for managing an engineering team
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling secure web applications and thirdparty APIs
  • Strong technical background and deep understanding of modern tools such as Docker StimulusJS Tailwind and Redis
  • Ability to think strategically while also diving into the weeds when necessary
  • Available to collaborate in the Denver metro office hybrid model
