Help us help others:

Licensed Professionals of the Healing Arts (LPHA) are responsible for providing comprehensive clinical services as their license allows. Primary Responsibilities will be assigned based on the agencys needs and may change at the discretion of the Clinical Director or Director of Behavioral Health Services. Primary Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:

Provision of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. When assigned this responsibility the LPHA will provide short term time limited therapy services to children and adolescents who have a diagnosis of mental illness and exhibit severe emotional or social disability as well as adults who have severe or persistent mental illness. The LPHA will work closely with the individual and the treatment team to develop a personcentered recovery plan. The LPHA will use approved therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) TraumaFocused CBT and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

Provision of Comprehensive Intake Assessments. When assigned this responsibility the LPHA will be responsible for conducting comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and providing DSMV diagnostic determination. The LPHA will provide a Uniform Assessment to children adolescents and adults who present to mental health clinics operated by Hill Country MHDD Centers. The LPHA will determine eligibility for mental health services as dictated by Texas Health and Human Services and Hill Country MHDD eligibility requirements. The LPHA will work closely with the individual during the intake process to appropriately identifythe mental health needs of the individual.

Provision of Trauma Therapy: When assigned this responsibility the LPHA will provide traumafocused therapy services to individuals meeting eligibility criteria. The LPHA will work closely with the individual and the treatment team to develop a personcentered recovery plan. The LPHA will use approved therapies such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and TraumaFocused CBT.

Licensed Professionals of the Healing Arts are expected to be flexible in their assigned responsibilities and assist the agency in other roles as needed and as their license allows. Office hours are 7:30 am 6:00 pm; however the position must have flexible hours to accommodate individuals who cannot meet during regular business hours.

You will get to:

  • Promote and maintain a traumainformed personcentered environment for all clientele and staff.
  • Provide clinically appropriate therapy to children adolescents and adults either individually or in a group/family format.
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial intake assessments to determine the need for mental health services.
  • Complete ongoing diagnostic updates and assessments as needed.
  • Ensure that all individuals have a current authorization for service to include insurance authorization Adult or Child Needs Assessment (if required) and diagnosis.
  • Ensure all individuals have a current PersonCentered Recovery Plan (PCRP) that includes counseling as an intervention.
  • Participates in the development of PCRP with the assigned Recovery Coach or develops PCRP when appropriate.
  • Does collaborative and concurrent documentation for therapy and assessments at least 95% of the time.
  • Documents all services to include kept appointments noshows cancellations by individuals and self.
  • Ensures quality service for all clients by enforcing rules regulations and legal requirements with clients documenting the events of a therapeutic process in a confidential manner.
  • Responsible for client noshow rate of no higher than 25% and staff kept appointment rates of no lower than 90%.
  • Meet the agencys current productivity standard for the position.
  • Enters and updates schedule in electronic health record scheduler to reflect realtime information.
  • Participate in professional training (priority is CBT CPT and TFCBT) and staff development training.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings case conferences interdisciplinary team meetings and individual/group supervision.
  • Assists in the provision of clinical supervision to the Qualified Mental Health Providers and other staff by way of inservice training presentations workshops etc.
  • Guards client confidentiality by being knowledgeable of and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Adhere to all Hill Country MHDD policies and procedures.
  • Maintain current professional licensure in good standing without lapse.
  • Maintains CANS/ANSA certification.
  • Travel and driving company or personal vehicle as required for service delivery and professional development.
  • The job description may be changed to reflect job updates and requirements.

Qualifications

Youll definitely need:

  • Masters degree from an accredited university in psychology counseling marriage and family therapy or social work.
  • Must have a current Texas stateissued LPC LCSW LMFT License.
  • Three years preferred in clinical experience providing therapy to children adolescents with serious emotional disturbance and adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
  • Two years preferred in clinical experience in a position responsible for making diagnosis determinations.
  • Must be able to meet Hill Country MHDD Centers standard for CBT competency within in 1 year of hire.
  • A valid Texas State Drivers License.
  • Current automobile insurance and the ability to travel when necessary.

Well also want you to:

  • Provide therapy services in multiple settings.
  • Provide biopsychosocial assessments in person or via televideo.
  • Provide diagnostic evaluations and personcentered/familycentered recovery planning.
  • Participate in clinical supervision as scheduled.
  • Participate in ongoing training conference calls as needed to gain certifications in CPT TFCBT or CBT.
  • Collaborate with multiple service providers to coordinate quality care.
  • Maintain a sufficient level of selfcare so that the functions of this position do not serve as a detriment to wellbeing.
  • Identify gaps in processes and work closely with other departments for process improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to listen skillfully and collect relevant information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and encourage others.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Comfortable working with technology and can easily navigate new technology platforms.
  • Efficiently move through a todo list and effectively prioritize and triage competing demands.
  • Passion for connecting individuals and families with excellent care.
  • Sustain a calm demeanor when under pressure to handle sometimes difficult situations.
  • Provide exemplary customer service and care for your team.
  • Work autonomously to complete assignments.
