Northwest Youth Corps is seeking young people ages 1518 interested in working outdoors as part of a community while making a positive impact on the earth.
Community crew members complete outdoor conservation projects for five weeks in the Portland area. Experienced field staff provide training and education on conservation projects such as tree planting fuels reduction invasive plant removal trail construction and fencing. You join a closeknit team of 89 crew members and two crew leaders committed to play a vital role in improving our public lands and the environment.
This is tough work. We work in all weather and our projects are handson. We value community connection with others and mutual support. All training is provided and you do not need prior experience to apply. If you havent had access to the outdoors but are interested in learning come join us; this land is your land.
Dates: 6/237/25 (session 1); 7/298/29 (session 2).
Location: Crews start and end in Portland OR. Crew members are responsible for arriving at the office on time each day (we can provide info on bus and bike routes as needed). Project locations generally include city parks public lands and community gardens.
