About the Role
Were looking for a talented Network Security Engineer to join our growing team. In this role youll work closely with our client on projectbased initiatives performing handson technical work to secure and optimise network systems.
This is a 6month initial contract which may be extended.
What Youll Be Doing
Managing infrastructure to ensure physical servers network devices and other hardware are updated and secure
Configuring and maintaining routers switches and firewalls
Deploying and managing virtualised server environments to build a resilient and scalable infrastructure
Working with Cisco UCS Central to efficiently deploy service profiles and manage resources
Implementing Fibre Channel and FCoE on Cisco UCS to support highspeed data transfer
Applying networking protocols to improve traffic flow and prevent unauthorised access
Hardening and managing Active Directory infrastructure including policies OU structures and GPOs
Enhancing endpoint protection using CrowdStrike
Performing device hardening and patch management to maintain a strong security posture
What Were Looking For
Solid understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP DNS DHCP
Knowledge of networking fundamentals like VLANs and DNS
Proficiency in managing both Windows and Linux based environments
This role is perfect for someone with a wellrounded background in network security computer networks software and hardware infrastructure.
