Job Summary This Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) position is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and OFAC rules by performing analytical functions involved with the daily monitoring of activities related to the banks Bank Secrecy Act/AntiMoney Laundering (BSA/AML) compliance program. What you can expect to work on - Provide online phone and inperson support and training to branch staff as it pertains to BSA/AML issues.
- Review branch completed CDD information report issues to management and store the information appropriately.
- Audit OFAC list updates in utilized automated systems and work with effected staff to resolve identified issues.
- Assist bank staff with potential OFAC matches and responds to hits appropriately.
- Monitor and report blocked funds and rejected transactions if any.
- Monitor 314(a) requests and respond to hits appropriately.
- Review daily branch CTRs and the BSA/AML monitoring software to ensure necessary information has been recorded for cash transactions according to policy and procedures.
- Complete the official CTRs for the bank and provide them to the investigation team for review and timely submission.
- Assist in the monitoring and investigation of accounts for suspicious activity.
- Assist in preparing for and managing independent third party audits and regulatory exams.
- Ensure position procedures are complete current and compliant with applicable law/regulations making changes as required.
- Participate in compliance training and continuing education to maintain proficiency with BSA/AML compliance laws and regulations.
- Maintain proficient knowledge of applicable compliance laws and regulations Assume responsibility for special projects; gather data and assist with the preparation of reports for Senior Management audits and other personnel.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable reporting and recordkeeping requirements and timely distribution of related materials and publications to designated personnel.
What you offer us - Minimum of 23 years of banking experience
- Working knowledge of BSA AML OFAC and other related laws.
- Bachelors degree in business or equivalent years of experience preferred
- Selfstarter capable of working under minimal supervision
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in highpressure environment.
- Research and analytical (i.e. investigative) skills with the ability to analyze large amounts of data decipher higher risk attributes (transactional geographical product customer type etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Must be able to exercise sound judgment and observe the highest degree of confidentiality in the handling of information received in the course of their responsibilities
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel).
- Strong documentation skills to clearly and accurately articulate alert disposition.
- Adherence to controls and standards.
- Must be able to demonstrate extensive banking and compliance knowledge in working AML/KYC related issues.
- Familiarity with internal systems and processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with BAM is a plus.
- Proficient understanding of a financial institutions operating structure.
