Performs a variety of duties relating to the patient and the environment reporting observations to the nurse in charge. Works the assigned unit based on need designated by the nursing supervisor.
Education and Formal Training: High School graduate or equivalent. Completion of an approved Nurses Aide I course in North Carolina. Current North Carolina Aide registry listing verified through the N.C. Division of Facility Services or Current North Carolina Nurses Aide registry listing verified through the N.C. Division of Facility Services and five years of previous full time experience working as a CNA. New employees will be required to have BLS certification (CPR) at new hire or obtain within 30 days of hire date.
Work Experience: Prior experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required: Some knowledge of nursing measures used to provide personal hygiene and comfort; procedures and techniques in giving simple treatment in providing bedside nursing care. Some ability to physically mentally and emotional perform activities involved in this
Required flexibility in working different areas different shifts weekends and holidays and in adverse weather conditions.
