Wage Range: $12.00 and up
5 STAR Event Services is hiring Event Security Team Members to join our growing staff at Shell Energy Stadium home of the Houston Dynamo FC and Houston Dash. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work a wide range of major events while ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests staff and participants.
As a part of our team youll also have the chance to work for the upcoming premier international soccer matches including:
Trinidad & Tobago vs. Haiti
Gold Cup: Curaao vs. Canada
Gold Cup: Honduras vs. El Salvador
Gold Cup: Guadeloupe vs. Guatemala
Gold Cup: Canada vs. El Salvador
Qualifications
Qualifications: :
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Reliable forms of communication and transportation
- LEVEL 2 SECURITY: Texas NonCommissioned Guard Card (Level II Training & Exam provided for free. All applicants are required to pass exam submit to fingerprinting and criminal background check.)
Skills and Abilities:
- A strong customerservice attitude and professional appearance
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- The ability to understand and interpret credentials documents signs rules policies and instructions
- The ability to communicate effectively with clients patrons and other employees
- The ability to multitask crosstrain and learn new skills quickly
- The ability to remain calm and levelheaded under highpressure situations
Physical Requirements:
- Full physical and mental dexterity with the ability to walk stoop kneel crouch hear see and speak English clearly
- The ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time (shift duration)
- The ability to lift 25lbs.
Work Environment:
- Elevated noise levels. Athletic and musical events can be very loud and employees must be prepared to be exposed to increased noise levels. Ear plugs are available upon request.
- An energetic and fastpaced environment
- Crowds
- Working outdoor venues. Some of the events we work take place outside or in openair venues and take place rain or shine. Reasonable accommodations are made to assist with employee comfort when necessary (tents rain ponchos drinking water etc.)
- Evening and weekend work schedules. Many events take place in the evenings and on the weekends. Flexible availability is required.
