Reporting to the Principal as the Academic Chair for the School of Technology and the Environment you will:
Your strategic and safetyfocused operational leadership is key to ensuring the objectives of programs offered by NSCC are met through efficient and effective management of all fiscal and human resources while endorsing the application of adult education principles reflective of a learningcentered college.
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
The minimum educational qualification for this position is an undergraduate degree in a field related to the School of Technology and Environment such as engineering technology or education.
A Graduate Degree would be considered an asset.
You have a minimum of seven (7) years (fulltime equivalent) of recent and progressive occupational experience in a field related to the School of Technology and Environment. Experience in your field includes leadership/management and formal teaching at a postsecondary level.
You have a minimum of five (5) years (fulltime equivalent) in a formal supervisory management or leadership role.
Experience managing physical and financial resources in order to ensure effective service delivery.
Proven track record of leadership by effectively managing and inspiring staff and ensuring acceptable standards of training and or instruction within the field.
You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite email Learning Management System such as Brightspace and student/employee management systems such as Peoplesoft.
You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience.

You have proven records and information management skills and abilities specifically related to human resources budget management and scheduling.
You have strong project management skills.
You have demonstrated strength in hiring supervising managing and leading a team
You demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in educational environment.
