Job Description

We have a wonderful opportunity for an experienced teacher or a new graduate to fill a temporary maternity leave position within our Technologies team. It would be advantageous if the applicant had experience or qualifications in the area of Agricultural studies. Suitably qualified professionals who have enthusiasm for and/or experience in teaching Stage 4 6 Technologies are invited to apply for the position.

The ideal applicant will have a dynamic and proactive approach to teaching a willingess to immerse themselves into College life enthusiasm for educating young people and a strong commitment to professional values. As our College is growing from 3 to 4 streams within Secondary there is the possibility that this position may turn into a permanent position in 2026.

Ensuring high quality educational outcomes to meet the highest possible standards for our students is part of our values and ethos. Teachers should be committed to their own professional development and expanding work practices to fulfil these values.


The successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for and/or experience in teaching Technologies for the HSC
  • Prepare animals and students for showing foster the use and implentation of new technologies and assist in maintaining the Agricultural plot with the assistance of the Ag Assistant
  • Drive academic improvement in the area of literacy and numeracy for Year 712
  • Demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with staff students and parents
  • Work collaboratively within a team to lead in the further development of the faculty
  • Model promote and represent the Colleges Vision Mission and Values
  • Differentiate in the classroom to promote growth for each individual student
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the curriculum and assessment
  • Implement digital literacy with regard to application of pedagogy
  • Present appropriate tertiary qualifications including teacher qualifications
  • Assent to the Colleges Statement of Faith
NESA accreditation and a current Working With Children Check is required.
