Position Purpose: As a pizza cook you will be responsible for preparing highquality pizzas according to our established recipes and procedures. Your role involves ensuring that each pizza is made with precision attention to detail and meets our standards of flavor and presentation. You will work closely with the Sandcastles kitchen team to maintain a smooth and efficient pizza production process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare pizza dough sauces and toppings according to the established recipes and
Hilton Standards ensuring the pizza is visually appealing and delicious.
- Operate pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment effectively. Monitor cooking
times and temperatures to ensure the pizzas are cooked to perfection.
- Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality while maintaining consistency with our
taste standards. You must monitor and restock pizza ingredients as needed
while collaborating with the kitchen team to maintain inventory levels and
report any shortages or quality issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times and assist with general
cleaning duties as assigned. Always follow proper food safety and hygiene practices.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Communicate effectively with the team to coordinate pizza orders and delivery times.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills and multitasking.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent that provides the required
knowledge skills and abilities.
Experience:
Preferred knowledge of pizza making techniques dough preparation and pizza
oven operation or similar role in fast paced kitchen.
Licenses or Certificates:
Florida Sanitation Certificate and the ability to obtain any government required license
or other certificates.
Grooming:
All employees must maintain a neat clean and wellgroomed appearance (specific standards available).
