Position: Mechanical Design Engineer

Seniority/Experience Requirement: 6 or more years

Education Requirements: University degree (preferably Mechanical or Civil Engineer)

Language Skills: English proficiency mandatory

Job Description:

This positionis open inour Tenaris Coiled Tubes Division. Coiled tubing is a continuous length of pipe wound on a spool which is later straightened prior to entering the wellbore. Responsibilities will include maintaining the companys production data to assist with continuous improvement efforts on production processing. Using companys production data generate reports or further analysis to better understand where to apply engineering/technical support to the production process. Generate and write reports on technical topics (failure analysis R&D etc.) and coordinate with the Maintenance Manager for completion of these reports. Ensure engineering specifications and operating procedures reflect actual practice and update as needed. Maintain engineering reports and lab defect reports. Coordinate with QC on internal failure analysis efforts within the company and generate reports on findings monthly (Defect Analysis Report). Is part of the PTTs quality improvement program as a member of the Defect Analysis team. Performs other duties as needed or required by Management. Will be responsible for the design and modification to plantequipment.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 years of Mechanical Design engineering experience in a manufacturing plant environment.

Advance knowledge and current work experience of CAD is a requirement to include FEA.

Civil design is a plus.

Ability to do the calculations associated with machine design.

Must demonstrate sense of urgency and work effectively under pressure.

Should be able to complete of projects on time and within budget.
