Manufacturing Inspector


Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Inspector to join our operations team. This dualrole position requires expertise in both weld/fabrication inspection and general product inspection ensuring all Rotex products meet our rigorous quality standards before reaching our customers. You will play a critical role in maintaining product excellence supporting continuous improvement and upholding our reputation for industryleading separation solutions.


Main Duties

  • Inspect welds and fabrications complete final product signoffs and produce snag lists to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Assemble major assemblies subassemblies and parts into complete screening machines.

  • Conduct site visits to fabrication vendors across the UK and Europe to monitor and verify quality.

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to standardize weld maps improve drawings and resolve fabrication issues.

  • Develop and maintain inspection procedures documentation and quality control processes including hosting customer inspections.

  • Identify defects in design and fabrication providing practical solutions and modifications to improve product quality.

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Develop contractspecific product quality control processes in collaboration with the Quality team.

  • Examine workpieces for defects and measure for effectiveness.

  • Work to ontime delivery metrics.


Candidate Profile

  • Indepth knowledge and experience of industrial standards for fabrication and welding.

  • Highly proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols with the ability to improve fabrication documentation.

  • PC literate with intermediate skills in MS Office suite.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident liaising with customers and suppliers especially under pressure.

  • NVQ City & Guilds apprenticeship or equivalent in welding and inspection is highly desirable.
