A Day in Your Life at Peoples Bank:
As a Treasury Management Officer you will be responsible for working closely with branch management and commercial lenders in our Whatcom County market to propose deploy and service Treasury Management solutions to prospective and existing business clients. In addition you will evaluate and make recommendations for treasury products to the Treasury Department Manager and Bank leadership. You will be expected to contribute to bank growth and revenue generation with direct business development through prospecting and outside networking. Treasury Management Services for this position include Remote Deposit Capture ACH Gift Cards Business Online Banking Positive Pay Employer HSA Services and making referrals for Merchant Services.
Your Primary Responsibilities Would Include:
- Maintaining Treasury Management industry knowledge to ensure competitive pricing and product offerings.
- Originating new Treasury Management prospects by developing a referral network within the retail branches participating in join calls with the Branch Managers and Commercial Lenders making outside business calls and referring new customers to Retail or Commercial Banking departments for other business banking services.
- Assisting Employer Partners with HSA program implementation including assisting with the completion of the application and training of employer staff on the HSA Administrator portal.
- Selling Treasury Management solutions and valueadded services and programs.
- Preparing and communicating pricing recommendations and competitor pricing.
- Completing customer enrollment materials and collecting necessary information for submission to underwriting.
- Participating in business development programs and meeting business development goals.
- Participating in the presentation of sales training for retail bankers.
- Participating in community activities and public relations.
- Utilizing our CRM for all leads and prospective opportunities for pipeline status tracking and lead list opportunities.
- Acting as a mentor to sales representatives with less experience or in new markets.
What You Bring to the Team:
- You have a High School Diploma G.E.D. or equivalent.
- You may have a bachelors degree in business marketing or related field or equivalent experience.
- You have a minimum of five years experience in cash management sales and/or relationship management.
- You have proven ability to manage product sales and implementation at the customer level.
- You are enthusiastic about providing a high level of customer service.
- You have strong business development skills with the ability to generate expand and maintain business relationships.
- You have the ability to create and maintain outside business relationships while effectively representing Peoples Bank in a professional manner.
- You are proficient with Internet Explorer Outlook Word and Excel.
- You have excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking skills ability to prioritize multiple tasks and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- You have strong organizational and time management skills.
- You have strong interpersonal skills including professional etiquette and service mentality.
- You are skilled at business communication both verbal and written.
- You have a strong professional demeanor and high regard for confidentiality.
- You must be able to drive to other Peoples Bank locations and offsite meetings as required.
- You have the ability to model the Peoples Bank Mission Vision and Values.
