Description
Security Guard Overview
We are looking for a professional security guard(s) to protect our employees assets and premises. You will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions. Our goal is to detect deter observe and report.
Responsibilities
- Protect companys property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
- Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; deterring trespassers.
- Controls traffic and parking policies by directing drivers including delivery drivers.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences. Report in detail any suspicious incidents
- Patrol regularly the building and perimeter. Secure facility at night and ready for operation during day. Monitor surveillance equipment; inspect buildings equipment and access points; permit or deny entry.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
- Perform first aid or CPR and participate on Medical response team.
- Completes reports by recording observations information occurrences and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
- Maintains organizations reputation by complying with legal requirements.
- Keeping First Aid Kits stocked throughout campus.
- Maintain up to date and accurate phone list.
- Active member of Cassette Finishing Team completing assigned Prep work during shift.
- Actively monitor Fire Alarm Panel.
- Distribute Employee Locker Padlocks and maintain locker assignments
- Issue and maintain Security Gate Key Cards
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a security guard or former military
- Ability to operate fire detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Surveillance skills observant demeanor with attention to detail
- Integrity and professionalism
- High school degree
- Regular predictable attendance is an essential job function.
- Must be physically able to lift 40 lbs climb stairwells both up and down.
- Must be able to walk extensively the campus buildings and the perimeter for a 10 hour shift if necessary.
Security Officer Skills and Qualifications:
Deals with Uncertainty Judgment Objectivity Dependability Emotional Control Integrity Safety Management Professionalism Reporting Skills. Impeccable attendance (Reliable) Trustworthy Ability to maintain confidentiality Good phone etiquette Able to deal with diverse plant population. Able to understand emergency procedures Attention to detail in general Observant.
Qualifications
ZINK IS HIRING FT SECURITY GUARDS DAY AND EVENING SHIFTS AVAILABLE
We have two shifts available. Tuesday to Friday 6:00 am to 5PM or Monday to Thursday from 5 PM to 5 AM.
Both of these are fulltime positions however we would consider qualified part time employees who are flexible. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour.
Bilingual is a plus but not required. Excellent computer skills. Must be physically fit to climb stairs walk our campus and make regular rounds in our large manufacturing facility.
We will provide the training and the tools that you need to be successful in your position. This is a fastpaced job working as part of a team and there is plenty of work to accomplish.
