Job Description
Coordinates and / or performs general maintenance and repair on buildings facilities and grounds. Duties include custodial work light carpentry plumbing building / grounds maintenance and assisting with internal moves and space management. Installs maintains and troubleshoots electrical and mechanical systems controls and building automation systems data center support systems emergency generators and switchgear and fire / life systems. Responds to systems outages and emergencies to ensure minimal downtime. Estimates labor / materials costs for construction and repairs. Acts as liaison with outside contractors on building and equipment repair.
Responsibilities
- Gains familiarity with and performs basic maintenance and / or custodial duties within an assigned facility or location.
- Maintenance: Performs routine duties including furniture moves simple electrical projects spot painting and / or cleaning light construction and / or exterior clean up.
- Learns to identify and perform preventative maintenance activities on equipment and facilities.
- Maintains and repairs basic building components.
- Assists in maintenance of inventory of equipment records of warranties tools and materials on hand and materials on order.
- Adheres to established practices related documentation tools and technologies.
- Contributes to making DN facilities accessible safe and wellmaintained.
- Custodial: Performs regular cleaning and basic maintenance ensuring upkeep meets DN standards.
- Responds to / addresses emerging cleaning situations.
- Maintains floors and walkways to ensure staff safety.
- Empties and cleans trash and recycling receptacles.
- Cleans sanitizes and replenishes bathrooms.
- Keeps groups tidy and attractive.
- Monitors windows doors and gates for security and reporting any issues to facilities maintenance teams for repair.
- Takes pride in maintaining facilities and equipment for DN staff and customers.
- Regularly inspects environment for safety and promptly resolves minor issues independently or reports more complex or involved issues using approved systems to ensure timely resolution.
- Observes standardized DN dress code; displays DN identification badge at all times.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Education or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 02 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Maintenance.
- Good business English skills (Written and spoken).
- Practical experience / qualifications in carpentry plumbing electrical practices and techniques.
- Understands EHS hazards and implications.
- Good communication presentation problem solving and thinking skills.
- Proficient in all MS Office products with an emphasis on Excel and Word.
