Job Description
Under general supervision the Janitor performs general custodial andenvironmental service work to ensure Francois Bend Senior Living maintains aclean and safe environment for all residents employees and guests.
Janitor/Maintenance
- Deliver internal and external guest service the Francois Bend Senior Living way by ensuring every interaction is superb.
- Perform tasks to maintain the daily appearance of all common areas of Francois Bend Senior Living.
- Clean floors by sweeping mopping scrubbing or vacuuming: strip seal finish and polish floors.
- Service clean and supply restrooms. Gather and empty restroom trash.
- Clean windows glass partitions and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners sponges and squeegees.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Dust furniture walls machines and equipment.
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor with any repairs moving of furniture and/or general handy work.
- Notify management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating supplies.
- Other duties as assigned
Education /Training / Experience:
Previous janitorial or maintenance experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rulesoperating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Must demonstrate an interest in working with a senior population
Interact with guests residents and staff in a courteous andfriendly manner
Knowledge and experience with floor care and equipmentdesired.
PhysicalDemands
Team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands tofinger handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
Team member is frequently required to climb or balance; stoopkneel crouch or crawl.
Team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 poundsfrequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or moveup to 50 pounds.
