Job Description

Overview

Nakupuna Prime is looking for a BPR Business Analyst to support the Washington Headquarters Service (WHS). The ideal candidate is an expert communicator and process improvement SME who has experience with complex process analysis at the Department of Defense (DoD).

Responsibilities

The following reflects managements definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. The ideal candidate will:

  • Apply process analysis improvement and reengineering methodologies to conduct process modernization projects.
  • Apply activity and data modeling transaction flow analysis internal control and risk analysis and performance measurement techniques.
  • Have an understanding of and experience with large complex IT projects and organizations. Successfully analyze information from multiple sources to compile holistic solutions and make recommendations to senior level officials.
  • Lead efforts to establish standards for information systems procedures. Develop and apply information models for use in designing and building integrated shared software and database management systems.
  • Construct business improvement opportunities consistent with Information Management guiding principles cost savings and open system architecture objectives. Advise on all related issues concerning implementation of Business Transformation methodologies.
  • Serve as key coordinator among multiple project teams to ensure enterprisewide integration of reengineering efforts. Facilitate transition of existing project teams through interviewing training and additional forms of knowledge transfer.
  • Design develop and conduct customized training targeted to a wide range of audiences with varying degrees of experience in and enthusiasm for Lean Six Sigma. Manage complex Lean Six Sigma projects.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing at the highest levels of government. Draft DoD senior executive decision documents and presentations to include briefings and data in accordance with available templates formats and style guidance.
  • Manage multiple taskings from higher level offices. Able to support daily operations and execution.
  • Support multiple complex and multifaceted projects.

Qualifications

Qualifications: The ideal candidate has experience with the following knowledge skills and abilities:

  • Knowledge of responsibilities and functions of DoD organizations; and demonstrated ability to communicate and work with senior executives across Executive Branch agencies the Military Departments and other DoD organizations.
  • Selfmotivated exceptional oral and written communications and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite including Word PowerPoint and Excel.

Education and Experience: This position requires:

  • A Masters Degree;
  • The Project Management Institute Professional in Business Analysis (PMIPBA) certificate or equivalent; and
  • 20 years of program management experience responsible for support planning developing and executing major programs within the DoD preferably within the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) or WHS.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred.

Clearance: Active Secret. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Location: Work is performed onsite at the Pentagon Mark Center or in Crystal City.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands wrists and fingers.
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
