Clean Harbors is searching for a reliable and safety oriented I&E Maintenance Technician with an excellent mechanical aptitude to join our team! TheElectrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Technicianwill be responsible forperforming handson instrument checks calibrations and PLC Logic programming along with diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments with various tasks as needed. Responsibilities
Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and always acting in a safe manner
Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions
Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations
Maintains accurate records and logs as required
Installs new system controls (including power wiring)
Installs cabling power distribution systems and motor control centers
Services and replaces motors and lighting
Performs general electrical maintenance
On Call required
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications What does it take to work for Clean Harbors
HS Diploma or Equivalent
35 years combined of plant experience
Instrument and/or electrical training degree or certification preferred
Mechanically inclined
Journeyman Electrician License is a plus
1 years experience in DCS systems preferred
1 years VFD programming experience preferred
Proficient in reading blueprints electronic schematics and PIDs (process instrumentation diagrams)
480v experience preferred
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs bend stand stoop climb and work at heights
