POSITION SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision assists GM Sales and staff with invoices and other documents. This position performs various duties including ordertaking generating and validating invoices coordinating documents data entry and clerical support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Accounting Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of receiving records invoices and inventory transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and reconcile receiving documents against vendor invoices and purchase orders
Enter and verify inventory receipts in accounting systems
Communicate with warehouse staff and the purchasing team to resolve discrepancies
Prepare and file supporting documentation for vendor billing and internal reporting
Assist in monthly inventory reconciliation and reporting
Track incoming shipments and support freight cost allocation
Maintain organized and uptodate records for audits and compliance
Support other general accounting and clerical duties as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree in accounting or related field preferred
12 years of accounting receiving or inventory experience (food distribution or logistics a plus)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting or ERP systems
Strong attention to detail organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Clear communicator and team player with a professional attitude
Working Conditions:
Office setting within a warehouse environment
Must be comfortable walking into refrigerated areas as needed to check product or documents
MondayFriday with occasional weekend or early morning hours during peak times
