Job Description
Direct Medics is a leading healthcare recruitment specialist recruiting Allied Health Professionals of all bands and specialties for long and shortterm locum roles throughout the UK.
Direct Medics is a Registered Supplier to the Northern Ireland Health and Social Care Trust Framework. We are currently working with qualified dysphagia competent Speech & Language Therapists to help them find new and exciting opportunities with the Trusts here in Northern Ireland. As such we are now recruiting on behalf of the Belfast Trust for a Community Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist who are HCPC registered with relevant Dysphagia competencies. The post holder will provide specialist assessment diagnosis and treatment for adults with disorders of communication and/or swallowing problems.
This post will require full time cover (37.5hrs) with part time hours possibly considered (minimum two days per week). Duration will be for 3 months initially.
Requirements
Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent
Registered member of Health Care Professions Council & RCSLT member
Minimum of 18 months post qualification experience working as an SLT to include adults with acquired swallowing and/or communication disorders
Recognised dysphagia qualification enabling independent management of noncomplex cases or relevant training/work experience in dysphagia management including the sign off of relevant professional dysphagia competency framework
Full UK Drivers License and Access to a Car
