Company. Sunbound is building the financial OS for senior care. The current senior care payments experience is broken which increases costs and inefficiencies for senior living operators while making it confusing cumbersome and stressful for families. Sunbound was created to solve this problem by building the first modern platform to handle this process endtoend and save operators and families time money and effort.
Mission. Our founders were inspired to start the business after seeing the pain points firsthand with their own families and deeply care about helping one of the most overlooked groups in our population: seniors. Sunbounds mission is to make managing money for senior living easy so our customers can focus on what really matters: providing quality housing & care.
Team. Were a dedicated closeknit group focused on expanding hubs in Downtown Brooklyn NYC and Washington DC.
Traction. Since launching in mid2023 we now serve thousands of families. Were currently doing 7 figures in ARR.
Growth. Sunbound has absolutely caught fire as a business growing 30 monthovermonth. The senior living market is massive at >$230b and is expected to grow rapidly as the baby boomer generation continues to age.
Funding. Weve raised now three rounds of funding from toptier investors including Fika Ventures Bling Capital Liquid2 Ventures LiveOak Bank Cambrian Ventures and Max Ventures. These firms have collectively backed over 20 unicorns such as Square Lyft and Rippling.
Were looking for a Head of Ops to lead our growing Operations team. Youll report directly to the CEO and lead the overall operations across our payments financing and claims product lines. This is an early role at Sunbound with lots of opportunities to shape the direction of the team and strategy.
Develop and execute the operational strategy. Use your previous experience to implement strategic initiatives in alignment with the companys overall objectives and growth plans. Set operational goals KPIs and metrics to measure performance and drive continuous improvement
Develop and implement best in class processes. Use your previous experience to implement best practices and tools across our team across all product lines
Support in Customer Success and Implementation. Establish and maintain relationships with key customers to ensure smooth operational and implementation particularly while the team is early and lean
Be a player / coach and GM. Develop and coach team members in skills and process to promote quality while also being ready to get in the weeds if needed. Recruit new team members as we continue to grow
Become an industry expert. Youll be working closely with customers and supporting teams interacting with customers. You dont need to be an expert in billing and payments for senior care but you need to be interested in becoming one.
BA/BS degree and 6 years of relevant experience at least 4 years in leadership
Previous experience working in a B2B2C or marketplace business model
Previous experience in healthcare FinTech or InsurTech
Early stage startup experience (Series A C)
Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
A resilient person with a can do attitude
Someone who is willing to learn by doing
Experience with regulatory / compliance processes associated
Experience managing a call center
Interest in AgeTech / Senior living
Experience in customer support including account management and implementation
