Blood Production Distribution Specialist - Hospital Services (Full Time, 2nd Shift)

***This position will provide coverage to both our Chicago and Tinley Park locations. Must have availability to provide support to both locations as needed.***

Under the direction of the department leadership prepares quality biological blood components within the prescribed time following regulatory and operational standards as specified in the Standard Operating Procedures and departmental procedures.

The Hospital Services team manages product inventories including the receiving preparing packaging and arranging delivery of products consistent with all regulatory and compliance standards while meeting or exceeding the customers expectations. Demonstrates the ability to take initiative multitask and build a collaborative environment.

Schedule

• 2nd Shift: 2:30pm11pm
• Rotating weekends & holidays.

Compensation
The target salary for this position is $19.49 per hour.

The target salary is based on internal averages. Versiti sets salary ranges aligned to local markets in which the job is performed. Compensation decisions take into account internal salary averages and differentiation based on education experience skills and performance. Specific salary and benefits information is shared at the time of the phone screening based on your location and qualifications.

Shift differentials for evenings/weekends:

• 6pm12am: $1.50/hour
• 12am6am: $2.00/hour
• Weekends: Additional $2.00/hour.

• Manufactures Red Blood Cells (RBCs) Fresh Frozen Plasma and Recovered Plasma
• Manufactures Neonatal RBCs. Sterile docks Pedipaks to Platelet Apheresis Neonatal RBCs
• Performs leukoreduction of Whole Bloods and RBCs
• Manufactures Cryoprecipitate Pooled Cryoprecipitate and Cryo Reduced Plasma
• Labels products to meet regulatory and inventory requirements
• Manufactures additional specialty products as needed by customer base
• Follows procedures pertaining to the proper storage of RBCs platelet products and frozen products
• Performs and documents equipment function checks and QC as required
• Maintains a level of productivity that allows department to achieve production goals
• Works weekend holiday rotations and oncall as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Education

• High School Diploma required
• equivalent required

Experience

• Less than 1 year 16 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required

• Ability to read interpret and write documents such as operating forms operating and maintenance instructions and other department manuals required
• Above average attention to detail and problemsolving skills required
• Ability to apply judgment to written or oral instructions required
