Are you the one were looking for


We are seeking a dynamic highly motivatedCleaner who demonstrates our values of compassion accountability responsiveness and empowerment to our clients families and each other.

To ensure a high standard of cleanliness and neatnessthe Cleanerperforms general housekeeping activities within the established guidelines for health and safety infection control and quality management.

This position is a unionized parttime temporary role. The contract is approximately 6 months long with the possibility of ending early or being extended. The rate of pay is $19.41 per hour. This position is 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Welcome and interact with those accessing the program and be available and approachable.
  2. Complete a daily weekly & monthly checklist of cleaning requirements in and around the facility.
  3. Sort wash dry and fold bedding.
  4. Responsible for keeping all areas in good order well supplied and clean up to established health and safety standards.
  5. Operate various types of cleaning equipment to complete required tasks.
  6. Provide support for other staff in emergency situations.
  7. Work with volunteers and staff in a team approach.
  8. Participate in unit/staff meetings.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:


  1. Minimum high school diploma with further courses in janitorial hygiene and infection control and two (2) years professional cleaning experience.
  2. Must be able to travel to work in Burlington.
  3. Sensitivity to work in a culturally diverse program and the ability to work with marginalized persons.
  4. First Aid and C.P.R. required.
  5. Flexibility to work day evening and weekend hours as scheduled.
