Job Description
We are a multisite church community located in SE Calgary. Our mission is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus! We are adding to our team and are looking for a Student Ministry Pastor to help serve our growing community. This is a fulltime role but we are open to discussing a strategic plan of having multiple parttime roles depending on gifting and availability. We deeply care about our staff team and want our team to enjoy serving together as we point others towards Jesus. Here are some ways we try to create a healthy staff culture:

Our Church: We want to know Jesus and make Him known. Jesus is continuing to see His kingdom move forward through our church community. We are a missional Jesuscentered church that values seeing people in life on life relationships.
The Location: Calgary is a beautiful & entrepreneurial city with easy access to the mountains. McKenzie Towne is a highly populated area in the SE corner of Calgary. We love our community. MTC is located in a visible spot within McKenzie Towne. You can walk to coffee shops and local restaurants from our churchs doorstep. Our church is primarily made up of people from the immediate surrounding area which means most people live within a reasonable distance from the church.
Your Role: The focus of this position is to provide handson leadership oversight and direction for Student ministries at MTC.
Leadership Development Student Discipleship and Ministry 60:
- The Student Ministry Pastors primary role is to provide direct oversight and leadership for the growth and development of all student ministry areas. (Grade 5/6 and grades 712.
Administration and Planning 30:
- Provide administrative oversight for all student ministry events and programs.
General Ministry Support 10:
- Be an active supportive and healthy team member of the primary ministry team at MTC
Requirements:
- a mature and growing faith in Jesus Christ and has a love for all people
- a deep passion experience and proficiency in team building
- strong competencies in leadership communication collaboration and shepherding
- Bachelors Degree an asset but not a requirement
