Job Description

Summary


The Career and Culture Division (CCD)within the Department of Human Resources (DHR)seeks an innovative and dynamic Workforce Development Supervisorto join the Employee Experience team.

Reporting to the Employee Experience Manager this role will collaborate with the Employee Experience Data Analyst in the development and deployment of an employee engagement survey AND will provide daytoday supervision to the Workforce Development team; developing innovative programs and initiatives to support employee career goals and economic mobility as well as develop impactful interventions and programs centering the employee experience so that King County is a place where employees can thrive.

The successful candidate will bring experience and knowledge in employee and leadership development knowledge of survey design methodologies and technologies and the use of data to drive action. They will manage and oversee existing career development programs for King County employees at all levels evaluating against industry standards analyzing internal needs and refocus or recreate programs to align with business priorities.

Additionally in partnership with the Employee Experience team this role will serve as a resource to operational partners throughout the County in the continuously evolving use of employee surveys and leveraging existing data sources and systems. This team will lead the creation of a holistic view of the employee experience backed by engagement and Human Resource operational/performance data.

Job Duties

  • Knowledge of employee engagement principles and practices.
  • Experience with survey design.
  • Experience with career coaching.
  • Knowledge of adult learning styles and on the job skill development in a wide range of professions and working environments (i.e. onsite office remote in the field and hybrid).

Supplemental Information

Work Schedule
This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not overtimeeligible. Employees are paid on a biweekly schedule every other Thursday comprising a 40hour workweek normally 8:00 a.m.5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position is not represented by a union and is classified as a Project/Program Manager IV; class code:.

Teleworking Requirement
The work associated with this position will be performed predominantly through telework complemented with onsite work and meetings as needed. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.

Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.
