Job Title: SpeechLanguage Pathology Assistant

Location: Gambrills Maryland and/or Annapolis Maryland

Our team consists of SpeechLanguage Pathologists SpeechLanguage Pathology Assistants Occupational Therapists and Special Education Teachers. We emphasize using evidencebased personalized care. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate SpeechLanguage Pathology Assistant to join our team and contribute to the wellbeing and communication development of our clients.

Position Overview:

As a private practice Speech Language Pathology Assistant you will play a vital role in helping clients overcome communication challenges improve their speech and language skills and achieve their educational goals. Under the guidance and supervision of licensed Speech Language Pathologists your work will directly contribute to the success and well being of students in the private practice environment.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program or related field.
  • Maryland state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLPA.
    • Willing to provide supervision hours for licensing if needed
  • Previous experience as an SLPA in private practice or pediatric setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students parents educators and support staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to assist in managing caseload and documentation.
  • Dedication to providing culturally competent and student centered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting speech and language assessments under the direction of licensed Speech Language Pathologists.
  • Provide speech and language therapy interventions exercises and activities to support clients communication articulation fluency and language skills.
  • Support the implementation of treatment plans and carryover of therapy goals
  • Assist in monitoring and documenting clients progress communicating findings to the supervising SpeechLanguage Pathologist.
  • Work with individual students to reinforce therapy techniques and activities.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up to date records including session notes progress reports and billing documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal state and local regulations and ethical standards governing speech language pathology assistant services in private practice
