Job Description
We are looking for an organized dependable team member with a high attention to detail to join us. Great company 46 years family owned. We process scrap metal materials and ship them to various refining companies. The metals are reprocessed into usable materials helping our environment. Everything we buy is recycled.
Hours
Monday Friday 8:00am 5:00pm and every other Saturday 8:00am 12:30pm.
Compensation
- $15.00 $17.00 per hour (could work more hours if others are off).
Duties/Responsibilities
- Check tickets for accuracy.
- Answer phones.
- Verifies customer tickets and drivers license.
- Maintain balanced cash register drawer.
- Resolve customer issues and answer questions.
- Maintain checkout operation.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate available equipment such as cash registers calculators or scanners.
- Basic mathematical skills as needed to make change and give refunds.
- Knowledgeable about company products and services and customerrelated policies.
- Attention to detail.
- Cashier experience (required).
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Successful completion of onthejob training.
Physical requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing and working on cash register or related equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
