Salary: 17.73 per hour
Hours: Casual
Contract Type: Zero Hour Contract
Were looking for two experienced Play Workers for our Roman Road Adventure Playground in Bow London E3.
Developed as a partnership project between Clarion Housing and Tower Hamlets council in 2010 Roman Road was the very first adventure playground to be built by a housing association in England.
Were looking for two special people to join our team! If youre available to work from 3 pm to 7 pm on weekdays during term time and from 12 pm to 5 pm on Saturdays and school holidays wed love to hear from you. Its important that you have some qualifications and experience working with children aged 6 to 15 in an Adventure Playground setting.
In this role youll be working closely with a supportive team to plan fun and engaging play activities creating a vibrant and stimulating environment filled with exciting play opportunities. You might also get to partner with other community projects run by Clarion Futures to deliver play sessions that enrich our community.
Your mission will be to lead highquality inclusive play sessions guided by play work principles and informed by the best practices in the field. Youll also be chatting with parents carers and the wider community about what we do inviting them to join in on the fun and advocating for the importance of play in childrens lives.
Were looking for someone with at least a CACHE/NVQ Level 2 qualification or an equivalent in play work or a JNCrecognised qualification in youth and community work. Your experience working with young people aged 6 to 15 should come from a playful setting and wed love for you to bring that passion to our team!
A solid understanding of quality play and a basic awareness of health and safety practices are musthaves. If youre excited about creating memorable play experiences we cant wait to get to know you!
