What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a successful candidate for a Second Shift Materials Planner role within the Product Delivery Center in Middletown CT.

The successful candidate will operate in multiple shop floor control and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) related systems to ensure alignment between material position and production schedule while managing a team of hourly employees.

This is a second shift position with hours from 2:30 to 11:30PM

MRP Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate material kitting in support of assembly floor need working closely with the oncampus Forward Stocking Location (FSL) and remote warehouses.
  • Support shortage management process and oversee materials/logistics issues while coordinating with Engine and Module Assembly to ensure parts are available when needed.
  • Participate in making allocation/priority decisions on critical hardware.
  • Utilize/operate Andon system in support of assembly floor requirements.

Supervisor:

  • Providing direction to skilled PDC bargaining unit employees while leading sustained improvements in safety quality production material procurement and cost reduction through the systems various elements.
  • Perform daily supervisor responsibilities project management effective communication and execution with support group members including management of hourly employee attendance and approval of timecards.
  • Establish work schedules considering customer requirements resource availability and other priorities.
  • Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings effective communications and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Excellent leadership communication problem solving analytical prioritization and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of logistics operations inventory management and/or supply chain
  • Proven ability to motivate teams to obtain high levels of performance and to accomplish goals Highly motivated individual who enjoys operating in a dynamic environment and who enjoys the challenges of process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Experience with Enterprise Planning Resource (ERP) and/or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software.
  • Experience with Microsoft office: Outlook PowerPoint Excel Word
  • Working knowledge in SAP
  • Continuous Improvement problem solving background.
  • U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Degree in Business/Supply Chain/Engineering Related Subject preferred.
  • Project management and operations experience is a strong plus.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
