Job Description
Overview: This role is responsible for ensuring timely order fulfillment optimizing inventory levels and managing sales forecasts in collaboration with crossfunctional teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills a deep understanding of inventory planning and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced forecastdriven environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment while minimizing inventory investment
- Manage and maintain optimal inventory levels
- Develop implement and maintain the sales forecast
- Analyze and recommend forecast adjustments by item and customer
- Collaborate closely with the Sales Team to jointly manage forecasting
- Proactively identify excess inventory and lead initiatives for reduction
- Set and monitor appropriate safety stock levels by item
- Participate in special projects as assigned including ERP system evaluations
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in highvolume distribution or forecastdriven environments
- Background in retail sales and distribution is a plus
- Strong proficiency in MS Office especially Excel; ability to adapt to new software systems
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
- Comprehensive understanding of purchasing functions and buyer assistance
