Collins Aerospace is seeking a dynamic Cost Estimating Manager to join our Mission Systems Pricing and Cost Estimating team. In this critical role youll be at the forefront of shaping competitive auditready cost proposals that support groundbreaking Space Systems programs including Human Spaceflight NASA and the Department of Defense.

Youll collaborate across key functional areasengineering procurement program management and operationsto develop accurate material hardware cost estimates that enable mission success. Strong relationshipbuilding skills are essential as you work within a fastpaced crossfunctional environment to support highimpact government proposals.

What You Will Do:

• Handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Analyze supplier quotations and purchase orders to determine reasonableness prior to data entry
• Data entry into Cost Estimating tool
• Reviewing SAP BoM (bill of material) structures and material master data to estimate material costs
• Performing variance analysis to previous bids
• Understanding manufacturing cost flows and application of material rates and factors
• Peer reviewing files with excellent attention to detail
• Reviewing estimates with proposal teams to provide business insight in support of gate reviews
• Identifying and quantifying proposal risks and opportunities
• Supporting customer fact finding and government assist audits with limited support
• Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and FAR/DFARS requirements
• Creating/modifying cost estimating analyst work instructions
• Prepare proposal pricing review package for management

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Bachelors degree in Finance Business Management or related/applicable field
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and SAP to include Project Systems Material Master Data and Procurement modules
• Experience in an Operations/Manufacturingrelated field
• Familiarity with (BMW)
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Strong time management skills to ensure bids are completed on schedule
• Capable of working both independently and in a team environment

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
