Job Description
Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and skilled Journeyman Controls Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing maintaining troubleshooting and repairing electrical control systems for a wide range of industrial equipment and conveyors. This position requires a deep understanding of electrical systems control wiring PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) motor control systemsand conveyors.Must live in the Dallas Fort Worth area and be willing to travel frequently on very short notice sometimes for extended periods of time. This is a treveling position but you will be based out of DFW.
Key Responsibilities:
Install maintain troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems and associated equipment.
Work with PLC systems VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) motor control centers (MCCs) and other electrical control components.
Perform electrical wiring and control panel installations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and control system issues identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Read and interpret electrical schematics wiring diagrams and control system documentation.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Utilize test equipment to verify system functionality and identify faults.
Collaborate with engineers maintenance personnel and other trades to support production and equipment reliability.
Maintain a clean safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
Complete daily logs work orders and maintenance records accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist in the installation of new control systems and upgrades to existing systems.
Ensure compliance with all local state and national electrical codes and regulations.
Must live in the DFW area and be willing to travel on short notice in responding to incidents nationwide.
Qualifications:
Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent withsignificant experience in industrial controls and conveyor systems.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems motor controls PLCs VFDs and automation systems.
Proficient in reading electrical schematics control diagrams and other technical documentation.
Experience with troubleshooting electrical and control systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Working knowledge of relevant electrical codes standards and safety practices (OSHA NFPA 70E etc.).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members engineers and management.
Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
Flexibility to work in various shifts including evenings weekends and oncall as needed.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience with advanced PLC programming (AllenBradley Siemens etc.).
Familiarity with industrial automation systems and robotic systems.
Experience in troubleshooting and repairing.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (temperature noise heights etc.).
Ability to stand walk bend kneel and climb for extended periods.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive pay based on experience. $3545 per hour.
- No per diem.All meals and lodging will be paid by Reds

Physical Demands/Requirements:
The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an industrial electrician to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:
Lifting (Frequent): Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally with or without assistance.
Standing/Walking (Frequent): Required to stand or walk for long periods during the workday often in confined or challenging environments.
Bending and Stooping (Frequent): Must be able to bend twist squat kneel and reach overhead as part of daily duties when installing troubleshooting or repairing equipment.
Climbing (Frequent): Ability to climb ladders scaffolding or stairs and work at heights of up to 30 feet or more using fall protection as required.
Hand/Eye Coordination: Must have excellent handeye coordination for handling tools wiring and equipment with precision.
Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle grasp and manipulate electrical tools components and materials.
Vision: Must have the ability to see and distinguish colors read schematics blueprints and labels and identify equipment faults and wiring issues.
Stamina: Must have the physical stamina to work long shifts including overtime or weekend work if needed.
Work Environment: Work may be performed in noisy hot cold or humid environments and may require exposure to electrical hazards confined spaces or heights.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Frequent): Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats gloves safety glasses and hearing protection as dictated by safety standards.
