Description

SUMMARY:

The Multimedia Specialist is responsible for creating engaging visual content including video production graphic design and digital media to support the marketing and communication efforts of Heart of Texas Goodwill Industries. This role plays a key part in producing highquality assets for social media print collateral retail marketing and fundraising events. The ideal candidate is a creative professional with expertise in both video production and graphic design capable of bringing the organizations mission and brand to life through compelling multimedia content.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following other duties may be assigned:

  • Design and produce highquality graphics for social media print materials digital campaigns and event promotions.
  • Capture edit and produce video content for internal and external communications including marketing campaigns training materials missionfocused storytelling and event coverage.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to develop visually engaging content that aligns with branding guidelines.
  • Secure and organize media consent forms for individuals featured in visual content.
  • Execute studio and fieldbased video productions including setting up shots and managing creative direction.
  • Set up and operate video audio lighting and teleprompter equipment for shoots.
  • Perform postproduction tasks such as editing color correction and motion graphics using industrystandard software.
  • Maintain an organized digital asset library ensuring accessibility and consistency across media files.
  • Provide technical support for A/V needs at corporate meetings and special events including setup and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure all multimedia equipment is maintained inventoried and in working order.
  • Utilize InDesign and large format printer to print stickers signs banners brochures and booklets.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and execute creative concepts for campaigns and initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in multimedia design and video production.
  • Schedule and perform routine maintenance and inventory of all media equipment.
  • Ensure all media equipment is ready and available for use.
  • Maintain inventory of all studio and A/V equipment.
  • Engage internal and external customers with a positive collaborative attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must pass a drug screen. A criminal background check is required. A drivers license check is required. Must show proof of current drivers license and minimum auto liability insurance coverage.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Flexibility to work varied hours to accommodate the needs of program participants team members donors and other content collaborators.
  • The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality associated with organization and department operations as well as with program participant information.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Associate degree (A.A.) in Film and Digital Media Graphic Design or equivalent from twoyear college or technical school with two (2) years of related experience and/ or training strongly preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strongly Preferred Expertise in:

  • Desktop publishing software (Adobe InDesign Microsoft Publisher etc.)
  • Graphics or photo imaging software (Canva Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop etc.)
  • Video creation and editing software (Vimeo Apple Final Cut Pro Apple iMovie Adobe Premiere Pro etc.)
  • Web page creation and editing software (Wordpress)
  • Social media platforms (LinkedIn Pinterest YouTube Instagram Facebook TikTok)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook etc.)

Certificates Licenses Registrations:

Must maintain a valid drivers license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwills liability insurance provider.
