Job Description
At an exciting time of company growth we are now recruiting for a quality engineer to join the quality team.
Established in 1989 we are the original innovators and manufacturers of wire joining and tensioning devices as well as anchoring bracing and suspension systems that have changed the game for many industries.

What is the role
Working within the wider quality team you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our production processes and final products. You will work with multiple departments across the business to implement quality management systems conduct inspections and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Other duties include:
- supporting production on a daytoday basis with quality issues
- coordinating IQs (internal queries) PQs (customer complaints) stock nonconformances
- working alongside production to understand root causes and help identify corrective and preventative actions
- developing managing and analysing quality KPIs to identify areas for improvements reduce quality cost and improve overall efficiency
- ensuring equipment and processes follow predetermined quality standards
- working alongside the supply quality analyst to overcome noncompliance issues with components
- supporting new product introduction (NPI) process and ensuring quality elements are implemented prior to sign off
- coordinating products and process FMEAs
- ensuring compliance with ISO9001 requirements
- conducting internal quality audits and inspections to establish level of compliance and identify improvement opportunities
Working hours
Mon Fri 8.30am 5.00pm (core office hours of 7.00am7.00pm MondayFriday).
Who you are
To be considered for the position you must be able to offer the following:
- strong understanding of quality management principles tools methodologies (ISO9001 8D Ishikawa FMEA Six Sigma)
- proven experience as a quality engineer in manufacturing environment
- a keen eye for detail/accuracy and methodical approach
- analytical and problemsolving mindset with a proactive approach to quality improvement
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Office experience
- ability to work unsupervised with minimum supervision
- full UK driving licence
- certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is desirable
