Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly effective candidate to identify create develop and integrate innovative technology to deliver the best operating lowest cost infrastructure in the world.

This individual will lead the commercial and strategic sourcing aspects for BBUs to better meet our customers rapidly growing infrastructure needs. Successful candidates will bring strong knowledge of battery and power component supply chains and proven ability to drive product roadmaps from concept through mass production.

Key job responsibilities
Develop and execute longterm capacity planning with strategic OEM partners including supplier share of wallet/mix strategy

Lead supplier RFPs and drive cost optimization efforts across the supply chain

Manage strategic inventory programs and inventory optimization initiatives

Foster and maintain OEM joint partnerships and relationships to ensure strong strategic alignment

Execute complex commercial agreements and manage new supplier onboarding processes

Support NPI (New Product Introduction) during product qualification stages while maintaining global compliance and certifications

Implement sustainability initiatives across the supply chain

Present to senior leadership via written narrative

Bachelors or an advanced degree in supply chain business engineering finance or related technical or quantitative field

6 years of strategic sourcing or procurement in BBUs (or other hardware) or 5 with advanced degree

3 years of experience with data analysis tools such as Excel Pivot Tables SQL Tableau etc..

10 years of experience in strategic supplier management technical business development

5 experience in leading large scale commercial negotiation and strategy development business development and/or product management experience

Technical knowledge and market expertise in energy storage

Advanced Engineering degree and/or MBA

Robust narrative writing skills

The base pay for this position ranges from $133200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220200/year in our highest geographic market.
