About the Role:
We are looking for a highly organised and techsavvy Shopify Online Store Assistant to support our ecommerce operations. This role will be responsible for maintaining and updating our Shopify store ensuring all stock is accurately reflected online and working closely with our Buyer to ensure new products are uploaded and optimised for sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily product uploads and updates on Shopify including descriptions images pricing and inventory.
- Ensure all products are categorised correctly and displayed in line with our brand.
- Support the Buyer in ensuring new stock is added to the store quickly and accurately.
- Liaise with the warehouse or stock management team to ensure online inventory matches physical stock.
- Run weekly stock checks and flag any discrepancies or lowstock items.
- Optimise product pages for SEO and conversion updating tags keywords and images as needed.
- Help with merchandising the homepage collections and featured products.
- Assist with setting up promotions discounts and special product launches.
- Monitor site performance and report any issues or bugs.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on launches and campaigns as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with Shopify (or similar ecommerce platforms).
- Strong attention to detail and a love for organisation.
- Experience with basic image editing tools (e.g. Canva Photoshop) is a plus.
- Familiarity with ecommerce best practices (product tagging SEO inventory management).
- Ability to take initiative prioritise tasks and work independently.
- Comfortable working in a fastpaced growing environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in fashion lifestyle wine homeware or hospitality retail is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of analytics and reporting tools like Google Analytics or Shopify reports.
- Understanding of digital marketing particularly email and social media is a plus.
